Poker on TV Update: WSOP Main Event Starts Tuesday

With ESPN's three TV experiments out of the way (and unlikely to return judging from the ratings), we finally get the only regular WSOP event we'll see this year, the Main Event, which starts Tuesday at 8 and 9 PM.

The EPT Kiev live stream is Saturday and Sunday. The European Poker Tour doesn't air in the US, but it is the world's leading poker tour and their webcasts are good quality.

For those of you who get it, the Windy City Poker Championship airs another episode on Thursday at 7 PM central.

If you haven't seen 2 Months 2 Million yet, I recommend you watch it. We have plenty of new information about it after our 2 Months 2 Million post, including the show's origins in 2007, the relationship between the stars (friends who spend every summer in Vegas), whether the show is realistic or not (KRANTZ says no then yes), and my initial impressions of it (I loved it).

This week's newsbites:
  • Three NBC affiliates refuse to air Face the Ace because of policies against gambling.
  • Funny clause in the WPT sale agreement: the sellers get 6 tickets to the WPT Invitational every year for life.
Check our poker on TV schedule for the full list of shows running new episodes.

With football season coming up, it's time to open a sportsbetting account. I recommend Bodog (review) because you can play poker from the same account and it's simply one of the most profitable poker rooms on the net. - Advertorial by FSJ
