Next week's World Poker Tour (review) event is the WPT Championship. The buyin is $25,000, first prize is $4 million, and it's one of the most important poker tournaments in the world. Carlos Mortensen, Tim Phan, Kirk Morrison, Mike Wattel, Guy Laliberte, and Paul Lee made the television table.
The European Poker Tour Season 3 Grand Final from Monte Carlo has finally become available for download. The EPT is, roughly speaking, Europe's equivalent to the WPT. This tournament, their championship event, is also one of the most important tournaments in the world. Of the shows that don't air in the US, I think the EPT is the most important one to watch. Some consider it to be a better-quality broadcast than the WPT as well.
Next Tuesday's World Series of Poker broadcast on ESPN is Event 28, No-limit hold 'em (3 day event), $3,000 buyin, at 8 and 9 pm. This is the one where ESPN expanded the final table to fit Phil Hellmuth.
